Job Title: Tax Manager
Location: USA Remote, working primarily CST hours.
Purpose Statement:
The Tax Manager will have oversight for Integrated DNA Technologies, Inc. and its subsidiaries tax operations and compliance and audits. This includes management of all U.S. indirect taxes – including but not limited to sales and use tax, property tax, and franchise tax – as well as international tax considerations. Additionally, will act as primary contact to Danaher Corporate Tax and be responsible for global reporting requirements throughout the year.
Essential Functions:
Contributes to the maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger for tax related accounts
Responsible for the development, implementation, and documentation of procedures, processes and internal controls – including owning the Tax Certification process for Corporate
Acts as point of contact for third-party tax assistance provider – Vertex
Owns computation of transfer pricing analysis on a quarterly basis. Works directly with Corporate Tax for the annual transfer price documentation
Works directly with Corporate Tax for the annual R&D Tax Credit analysis and documentation
Primary contact on ensuring continuity and seamlessness integration for tax requirements through any reporting software updates and acquisitions
Responsible for preparation and filing of all Canadian tax compliance including Income, GST/HST/QST
Prepares legal entity EBT Forecasting and submits to Danaher Corporate Tax as required throughout the year
Interacts and responds to inquiries from Regulatory authorities regarding questions or audits
Oversees property tax reporting, assessments filing and payment
Owns the Tax Roll forward reporting to Corporate
Acts as primary Olympus/Titan contact for Corporate Finance interaction and uploading of data as well as primary contact to Corporate Tax for all tax related questions
Adheres to Corporate tax policies as outlined in the Danaher Corporate Tax Manual
Researches and maintains an awareness of changes in tax laws impacting our business
Responsible for filing monthly, quarterly and annual sales and use tax returns including maintaining a control of Calendar of due dates and dates filed
Interact or respond to inquiries from Regulatory authorities regarding questions on any submissions
Register in new states or local jurisdictions where necessary
Act as a reviewer and approver for customer tax exemption certificates
Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values
Performs other duties as assigned
Education:
Must have Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax OR Bachelor's Degree in relevant area of study with a Masters in Tax
CPA required
Professional Experience:
Minimum of five years of professional accounting/tax experience required
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Internal Revenue Code (IRC)
Working knowledge of SAP and Vertex preferred
Intermediate proficiency in a variety of PC software programs with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office required
Prior experience with internal controls over financial reporting (SOX) preferred

Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to draft reports, business correspondence, policies, etc.
Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office skills, especially Word and Excel
