As the newest addition to the Cytiva family, GoSilico's simulation software is used to build digital twins of downstream processing. By joining forces with GoSilico, Cytiva has strengthened its digital capabilities in bioprocessing. We are looking for a Scientist who is passionate about digitalizing downstream process development to join our team in Karlsruhe, Germany. What you’ll do
As a scientist within GoSilico, you are performing fundamental research in the field of bioprocess development. The goal of your work is to find accurate and performant mechanistic models for downstream purification processes, in particular for different modalities of chromatographic separation and various molecule formats. In this role you will be working with the R&D department project lead as well as conducting independent research projects. Your scientific work includes theoretical and experimental investigation of modeling approaches, as well as the implementation of prototypes and their systematic comparison and evaluation. The role also includes the publication of results in scientific articles and their presentation at scientific conferences in the field of biomanufacturing. You will further be supporting GoSilico’s service team in scientific discussions with customers, developing, optimizing and performing downstream processes.
Who you are
PhD degree in biotechnology, bioprocess/biomedical engineering, physics, applied mathematics or related sciences
A solid experience and understanding of mathematic models and physical basics
Basic programming skills in C++, Phyton, Matlab or similar
3+ years’ experience in mechanistic modeling of chromatography or related applications
In depth knowledge of downstream PD, chromatography, resins and protein analytics
Strong presentation and communication skills
Proficient in English (oral and writing)
