Manager SW Product Management (d/f/m)

  • Responsible for the current business performance and future business strategy

  • Develop a portfolio strategy based on future market needs and tactical plans for multiple products in defined segments

  • Prepare consolidated PESST information (political, environmental, social, scientific, and technical) and use other sources, such as conferences and general market intelligence, to support or expand the future product portfolio in defined segments

  • Participate in information groups on financing processes and set up an information plans for sponsorships

  • Regular contacts with customers, Product Specialists and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)

  • Conduct market research/VOC/VOS on pricing, competitiveness and product performance; carry out market research projects outside of direct product responsibility (e.g., to support M&A activities)

  • Encouraging and support the product development process in close collaboration with R&D, Supply Chain Management and Procurement

  • Prepare business and marketing plans including pricing, positioning, product placement and go-to-market. Active role in establishing new marketing methods worldwide

  • Train employees on products; participate in Quality and Service meetings; have a leading role in finding and fixing the root causes of application problems in close cooperation with all stakeholders; ensure targeted and timely deliveries, communicating with suppliers, Ops, distributors and customers about phased-out products, as well as services and new products replacing the phased-out ones

  • Responsible to lead, plan, develop and assess staff, to ensure and further develop competences, commitment and cooperation


  • University’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Biotechnology Engineering

  • Several years of experience in SW Development and Product Management in Life Sciences

  • Previous Leading experience of direct and indirect reports

  • Proven success in innovating, launching and commercializing products

  • International experience in the scientific instrument market desirable

  • Fluent in English, in written and spoken; German is a nice to have

  • Available to travel up to 20%
