Summary of Position:

This is an exciting opportunity as an Electrical Engineer to participate in a cross-functional team environment in the design, lay-out, building, testing and troubleshooting of instrumentation, electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems for advanced flow measurement devices! Functions will include applying principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing, and physics. This role will also provide manufacturing and customer technical support for electronic assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uses a good understanding of electricity, electronic circuit and firmware design to develop new products and improve existing products.

  • Produces and tests theoretical specifications and designs for instrumentation and electronic sub-systems.

  • Designs analog and digital electronic circuitry, equipment and firmware. Systematically improves and changes detailed designs making sure that their performance meets a written specification.

  • Ensures design compliance with applicable standards and codes. Ensures products will work with devices developed by others, can be made again reliably, and will perform consistently in specified operating environments.

  • Assembles and builds electronic circuitry, components and prototypes according to engineering designs, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronics.

  • Tests electronics units, using standard test equipment, and analyzes results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment.

  • Writes reports and records data on testing techniques, equipment, and specifications. Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment.

  • Develops and upgrades preventative maintenance procedures for components, equipment, parts and systems.

Other Responsibilities and Functions:

  • Participates and/or takes a leadership role in research and development projects.

  • Develops technical reports and provides oral presentations.

  • Investigates production/quality problems providing short and long term solutions.

  • Maintains a commitment to teamwork and a positive, supportive attitude to all personnel.

Education and Experience:

  • Education: BS in Electrical Engineering

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in the design and development of instrumentation and electronics as part of a development team.

  • Demonstrated experience working with analog and digital electronic circuit and firmware design.

  • Demonstrated ability to create and/or read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for designing, testing and assembling instrumentation and electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components.

  • Knowledgeable in the use of Design of Experiments.

  • Demonstrated strength in project and time management skills.

  • Proficient in the use of Solid Works, Microsoft Office Suite-Professional, and general PC systems.

The salary range for this role is 75K - 115K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
