About the Global Business Partner, Compensation role:
In this role, you will lead Hach’s global Variable Compensation (VC) program for the Sales and Service organizations. You will manage, develop, implement, communicate, coordinates competitive Variable Compensation programs. This role requires strong knowledge and experience in compensation mechanisms in the US and Europe, a close collaboration with HR, Finance, and commercial leaders to deliver annual compensation plans and regular commissions payments, as well as help establish special incentives related to driving specific initiatives.
Manage Variable Compensation program for Sales and Service eligible associates for a global organization
Lead Compensation Analyst in the execution of Variable Compensation program
Collaborate with financial analysts, payroll, Commercial team leaders, and HR Business Partners to ensure the effectiveness of the VC program
Responsible for the establishment of the annual compensation plans for the sales, service, and other eligible associates to variable compensation, using a structured action plan, from the definition of key components working with senior management (Senior Directors, Vice President, and OpCo president), to the execution and communications (Managers, Sellers, etc.)
Oversee monthly payment process of VC to sellers within the organization
Lead an executive steering committee that include commercial operations, HR and Finance, to submit exceptions and gain appropriate approvals where needed, related to exceptions, changes, etc.
Collaborate with the Commercial Analytics teams, IT, and finance to drive data accuracy, systems optimization (BI, ERP, Compensation module, etc.), as well as admin tasks reduction and improvement, automating reports/ templates, establishing strong validation protocols, and reducing wastes
Drive technologies implementation, exploring the adoption of compensations tools and modules, in order to improve the admin work, user experience, and data quality, that will yield higher efficiency and time spent in strategic thinking/ business partnership.
Provide periodic updates and insights to senior management on compensation results and related performance, as well as a cross-functional action plan update
Use Continuous Improvement tools to drive process improvement, daily management, standard work, and growth initiatives
Are you qualified?
MBA or Masters in Economics, Finance, or HR required
A minimum of 5 years successful experience in a compensation role with at least 2 years direct experience managing Variable Compensation
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) strongly desired
Strong presentation skills required (verbal and written), strong analytical – Financial Forecast vs Plan, emotional intelligence skills, develop solutions to complex problems, and strong creativity and relationship building (internal and external) skills required
Highly data literate and systems knowledgeable (Analytics modeling, Business intelligence e.g. PowerBI/ Qlik, ERP e.g. Oracle/ Infor, CRM e.g. SalesForce)
High sense of confidentiality, and due diligence. Able to own highly sensitive data and programs.
Proven leadership & drive, delivering on strong performance and people engagement
Team player, active listener, able to drive positive changes not holding status quo
Ability to develop a strong business acumen and understanding of our market, product & customer structures, in order to propose meaningful incentive programs
Able to understand detect and understand business and compliance problems as it touches to compensation programs, narrowing down to root cause and lead countermeasures focusing on critical few
Proven agility to work with effective daily management, guiding self and others, based on direction from management
The salary range for this role is $92,000 - $138,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
