Danaher Corporation Territory Sales Manager, HK, TW & Macau in Kowloon, Hong Kong
The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for the promotion and sales of IDT’s full portfolio of custom oligonucleotide solutions across key application areas such as Next Generation Sequencing, Synthetic Biology, and qPCR. This role requires strategic and consistent delivery of customer support and satisfaction, while managing and driving customer consultations and partnerships within the assigned territory to achieve profit and revenue growth goals.
Manage Direct customer and distributor within allocated zones / country.
Through individual sales activities, prospecting, lead follow-up, and other means, identify new sales opportunities within and outside existing account base. Utilize individual direct technical selling to convert these opportunities into sales. Support new and existing customer needs as appropriate.
Develop and maintain relationships with key individuals involved in the use, recommendation, approval, and procurement of relevant research products.
Develop Strategic and Tactical plans for Key Accounts & distributor, which maximizes return on invested resources and meets or exceeds assigned sales targets.
To motivate and ensure that distributor sales targets are met or exceeded, where appropriate visiting local markets to support. Preparation for such visits to be thorough and timely and include a comprehensive agenda of topics to be raised with the distributor and details of the purpose and expected value of any customer visits.
Regularly assess distributor performance and where necessary recommend and implement actions to make sure standards of performance & sales target are met.
Complete and submit in a timely manner all requested reports, analyses, presentations, and other requested information.
To maintain a high degree of knowledge of company products and procedures and ensure distributor training needs in relation to these products and procedures are fully met.
Analyze competitor activities, literature, catalog, direct marketing, web sites, etc. Understand performance benefits and weaknesses of competitor products
Share collected information with appropriate internal and external groups.
Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Be aware of the quality policy and contribute to achieving quality goals by following all related procedures and work instructions. And by doing so adhere to the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard applied within the company, where applicable.
Practice safe working habits, follow all IDT safety policies, perform safety checks on equipment and systems, and identify, correct, and report potential safety hazards.
Degree in Biotechnology or Life Sciences is required.
Master's degree or PhD in a Life Science field highly regarded.
- Min 7 years sales and marketing experience in Life Sciences field, ideally some laboratory work experience in relevant area.
