What you’ll do

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Senior Business Analyst specializing in Data & ETL to join our team. In this role, you will lead a team of business analysts and collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand complex business requirements, analyse data sources, and design efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. You will be responsible for defining data transformation rules, implementing scalable data solutions, and ensuring data quality, integrity, and reliability. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in data analysis, ETL development, and business intelligence, along with exceptional leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of business analysts across the IT & Business organization, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of business processes, goals, and objectives.

  • Perform in-depth analysis of complex data sources, identifying data quality issues, inconsistencies, and potential areas for improvement.

  • Design and develop efficient ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target systems, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and IT professionals, to define data transformation rules and requirements for optimal data integration.

  • Develop and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and documentation to facilitate data understanding and usage across the organization.

  • Monitor and optimize ETL workflows, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and data processing issues.

  • Perform data profiling, data mapping, and data validation to ensure high-quality data and compliance with business rules and regulations.

  • Conduct thorough data analysis to generate insights and recommendations that support strategic business decisions.

  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and best practices in data management, ETL processes, and business intelligence technologies.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.

  • Proven experience as a Lead Senior Business Analyst or similar role, with a strong focus on data management and ETL development.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team of business analysts effectively.

  • Extensive knowledge of ETL concepts, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS) to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and data warehousing concepts.

  • Familiarity with data modelling techniques and tools to design and maintain data models.

  • Experience in data profiling, data quality management, and data governance practices.

  • Solid understanding of business intelligence concepts and tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for data visualization and reporting.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and extract meaningful insights.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
