General Summary & Overall Challenges

The Regional Service and IT Manager (RSM) manages associates in their assigned territory while working closely under the Service Manager. The RSM will be responsible for key performance indicators assigned and work closely with Radiometer Germany senior leadership in Service and POC-IT (Point of Care) on operational strategy relating to performance goals as well as maintaining a local installation base.

The successful RSM has strong commercial mindset that understands customer needs, regulatory requirements, technical framework and is capable of balancing contradictory demands. The successful RSM has strong verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills and is a strong people leader with leadership experience.

Your responsibilities:

  • Primary focus is on service metrics to include localized escalation, engineer technical mentoring and daily activities such as Preventive Maintenance, Field Action Notes and balancing workload.

  • Regularly visit customers to maintain network and relationships.

  • Act as the primary connection between the office staff and the field, answer any technical questions either may have.

  • Responsible for the implementation of and adherence to corporate processes and procedures.

  • Directly leading a team; regularly visit jobsites for quality control, coaching and training purposes and technical support for all Field Service Engineers.

  • Regularly assess skillsets and provide evaluations, and coaching.

  • Review Field Service Engineers service records to make sure that all work is completed to code and correctly.

  • Define needs of Radiometer Germany personnel with regards to training and developmental needs; establishes goals to meet objectives.

Our requirements:

  • Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree or several years of professional experience.

  • Professional experience as Senior Field Service Engineer at Danaher is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of IT (network technologies, communication protocols) to work closely with the POC-IT (Point of Care) experts and to deploy training to Field Service Engineers.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and industry specific applications.

  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing, multi-cultural environment with strong focus in Customer requirements.

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with team members, management, and customers.

  • Demonstrated track record of reliability, punctuality, productivity and self-organization.

  • Experienced in leading a team.

  • Travel: up to 30 %.

  • Language skills: fluent German and English

  • Personality: self-motivating with a positive outlook who pays attention to details and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to collect information, identify and diagnose problems.
