We are currently seeking a Legal Counsel who will serve as the lead of the Legal Department for fulfillment of the Molecular Devices’ global channel partner management program. This role will work with members of the legal department and Molecular Devices business stakeholders, globally, on contract reviews such as non-disclosure, consulting and sales agreements.
What we’ll get you doing:
Channel Partner Management
Responsible for the global coordination and execution of Molecular Devices’ standard work for the DHR Channel Partner Management Program, including preparation of channel management program analysis reports.
Generate Red Flag Review Forms for sign off by Compliance leaders.
Generate new Channel Partner agreements for Business Units, actively drive and manage the Channel Partner onboarding due diligence process. Assist with Channel Partner contract negotiations and annual renewals (where required).
Conduct training on the Channel Partner Management Program for the regional leads. Work with the local management and associates to ensure compliance with channel management program requirements by approved Channel Partners, such as annual anti-bribery/anti-corruption training and certification.
Coordinate implementation of improvements to the channel partner management system with the outside vendor from time to time.
Contracts
Assist with review and negotiation of non-disclosure, consulting, sales and other types of agreements, globally.
Support adherence to internal controls in contract related processes, including approval of non-standard terms by the appropriate stakeholders
Assist with various legal and compliance projects as needed.
The essential requirements of the role include:
LL.B from a reputable University and current Practicing Certificate.
Minimum 5 years of legal transactional (commercial contracts), or compliance experience, preferably in a reputable law firm or corporate inhouse setting.
Strong project management skills, to include managing and prioritizing multiple concurrent projects and reporting progress and risks to colleagues, and senior members of the Legal & Compliance Department.
Ability to identify and effectively manage and resolve compliance issues.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Team Player who can build the environment of trust by championing transparency, proactive communication, alignment on goals, and a commitment to high quality of work product.
Technology-savvy; experience working with databases; ability to learn new database systems quickly.
Working knowledge of third-party due diligence process and reviewing and evaluating third party diligence investigations.
Strong communication and analytical skills facilitating effective collaboration in a matrixed, multidisciplinary organization
