Danaher Corporation Legal Operations Specialist in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The Legal Operation Specialist will be responsible in supporting the Legal Department globally in aiding the Legal & Compliance operations with a particular focus on management of external counsel and other vendor relationships and administration of Mendix-based contract management platform. Additionally, involve in project management; data analysis, metrics and management information reporting, and the production of presentations/strategic business analysis within the department!

Responsibilities:

Outside Counsel and Vendor Management – 20%

  • Assist attorneys, and other departments as needed in external counsel/vendors selection, develop assessment tools and strategies for using and maintaining efficient relationships!

  • Assist attorneys in the negotiation, and coordinate the execution of Pall/Danaher engagement agreement terms with law firms

  • Coordinate management of fee rates, arrangements, billing and compliance with Pall/Danaher policies and billing guidelines

  • Lead all aspects of Legal Tracker e-billing system for submission and payment of law firm and other service provider invoices, including submission of matter budget and accruals monthly

Metrics and Reporting – 20%

  • Lead and maintain a “dashboard/bowler” on a monthly basis providing Key Performance Indicators for monitoring and reporting efficiency and performance of the team

  • Aid creation and implementation of a dashboard and Daily Visual Management tool to monitor and improve contract turnaround time.

  • Work with Finance, IT, and other functions, as required, to ensure the data supporting departmental dashboard/bowler and performance metrics are collected in an accurate manner and made available for use in a timely fashion

  • Work directly with Finance and handling attorneys to prepare monthly litigation report indicating litigation risk and reserves as part of Pall’s financial disclosure process

Contract Management & Document Retention– 50%

  • Collaborate with IT and outside vendor to optimize and a Mendix-based contracts management platform (Contracts Connect) and Share Point contract repository

  • Handle Contracts Connect and contract repository as a Super-User

  • Implement and coordinate a global roll out of the contract management and repository process to all partners

  • Oversee use of Docusign in the department

  • Be responsible for department pages on Pall Connect ensuring documents easily identifiable, regularly updated, with appropriate security access controls in place which are regularly reviewed

  • Implement and follow standard work processes for litigation holds

Training and Communications -10%

  • Provide training and communications to Legal team and partners on regularly with a focus on using technology and enhancing compliance with Legal operations and processes

Requirements:

  • BA/BS/BSc or professional degree in any related field

  • Highly organized, strong interpersonal and eloquence

  • Able to prioritize multiple meaningful priorities and meet deadlines

  • Excellent reading, writing and verbal eloquence

  • Goal-oriented and efficient

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including but not limited to Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Experience in using systems and Power BI or other new tool/technology for the daily work such as reporting

  • Legal Tracker experience system or any Legal fees management system experience
