Danaher Corporation Field Technical Service in Landmark East, Hong Kong

  • Ensure professional repairs for Molecular Devices and third party instruments with effective and efficient work practices and planning.

  • Installation of Molecular Devices automated workflow systems and complex field upgrades.

  • Have a positive attitude to servicing equipment where no formal training has been provided but is within the individuals’ skill level and understanding of customer application needs.

  • Ensure minimum customer response time and customer downtime.

  • Provide input to Technical Support to improve product reliability and feed back to the Product Support team and Field Service.

  • Follow standard work and standard service processes. Handling and timely submission of Servicemax reports, expenses, spares parts management and other service documentation.

  • Assist Product Support to deliver Field Service Engineer training (as Train the Trainer) to develop the skills and knowledge of other Field Service Engineers.

  • Provide second level technical support to Field Service Engineers when customer problems (both technical and application based) have reached an appropriate escalation point.

  • Assist sales and application scientists to ensure successful instrument demonstration.

  • Promote the sale of service plans and trade-ins for out of warranty cases.

  • Focus on customer needs and satisfaction, while building and fostering positive and professional relationships with both external and internal customers.

  • About 25-50% travel time for customer care.

  • Provide support in Hong Kong primarily, but also support Macao and the rest of APAC.
