The Finance Controller – ANZ for Beckman Coulter is responsible for Australia & New Zealand legal entities and Diagnostics commercial businesses. In this role, you would be tasked with running a tight finance function, covering all the fundamental areas of reporting, audit, taxation, accounting, etc. Additionally, you would be involved in guiding and providing sound advice on finance impact to the business and will be actively involved in the business growth plan from strategy to plan to execution. Prior experience of leading a function in a matrixed environment and the ability to build high-performing teams would make you the ideal fit for this role.

This position will head the Finance Function of ANZ will be located in Sydney – Australia and will be hybrid. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the APAC Finance Team and report to the Director of Finance - APAC responsible for all the fundamental areas of finance including but not limited to reporting, audit, taxation and accounting. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead (directly or indirectly) all Company’s financial operations, including general accounting, forecasting, strategic planning, transaction analysis and negotiations, General Administration, P&L and cash flow management and financing structure.

  • Record to Report: Maintaining accounts as per Australia & New Zealand requirements and US GAAP for group reporting and reporting per timelines with adherence to internal control requirements & SOX compliances.

  • Drive FP&A including Business Partnering, Budgeting, Forecasting, Actual vs. Forecast analysis, driving finance projects, change programs and organizational initiatives.

  • Proactively influence and challenge business leaders on key business decisions and advocate facts and data-driven decision-making practices.

  • Work closely with internal and external auditors and work constructively towards addressing issues and gaps identified by auditors and pass the audits.

  • Responsible for tax compliances - Direct Taxes as well as Indirect Taxes, including Transfer Pricing.

  • Develop a committed team of finance and accounting professionals with the right expertise, client focus, results drive and accountability to deliver high-quality output on-time.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a finance role, partnering and managing a commercially oriented business

  • Accounting / Business Management qualification.

  • Proven track record of being able to work under time pressure and in a lean organization.

  • Ability to create and enforce process discipline, deliver results and drive change

  • Ability to effectively and seamlessly work in cross-functional teams and matrices, effectively delegate as well as take control depending on the on-ground situation

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in IVD / Diagnostic Industry

  • Good Working Knowledge of Oracle / OBI / EPM

  • Excellent communication with different level
