The Role:

Working with a strong existing customer base you will be responsible for sales activities and meeting sales targets for region through the implementation of assertive, direct end-user selling techniques and further develop the business by identifying new opportunities within the Life Science Research & Industry market in NSW (North).

Your key responsibilities will include, and not limited to:

  • Manage direct sales of products in assigned territory for LSR, Academic & Key Account Industrial, and Nano product range

  • Manage and close complex sales

  • Facilitate the sales activities and monitor sales performance of customer base

  • Provide accurate sales forecasts

  • Help to prepare sales forecasts and analysis and develop plans to maximize sales opportunities

  • Routine customer visits developing strong relationships with key customers including prospecting new customers

  • Provide high-level customer service & customer satisfaction

  • Seek new opportunities to grow the business in assigned territory

  • Daily SFDC updates and Funnel Management

  • Maintain and utilize sales tools/CRM Management

  • Tender management, preparing quotations and management and/or conducting instrument demonstrations

  • Monitor competitor activities and customer response and provide feedback to management

  • Coordinating and support marketing activities

  • Participate in team meetings and special projects as defined by management to address specific tactical and/or strategic business needs

  • Work with Sales Manager to support sales initiatives or projects as directed.

  • Achieve Sales targets set by the Management team

  • Support in the development of business associates within the Team

To be successful in this opportunity, a prior experience in the following criteria would be required:

  • Extensive sales experience in the life science fields and/or industry

  • Experience in microscopy (sales or research – based)

  • Science Degree or equivalent

  • Fluent English – written and oral

  • Travel within VIC and ACT

  • Driver’s license and own car

  • Willingness to keep abreast of reporting and administrative requirements with high attention to detail
