Danaher Corporation Supply Chain Assistant in Leuven, Belgium

We are currently looking for a Supply Chain Assistant (6am-2pm) to join the Logistics team. As a Supply Chain Assistant your main responsibility is to pick and pack orders and make them ready for shipment in due time. Respecting deadlines and being able to adapt to specific situations is therefore a key aspect since you play a key role in making sure that the customer receives its order the same day.

Together with your colleagues you make sure to pack each order as prescribed, to include the necessary papers and to have the paperwork done correctly. For this purpose, you will be trained to work with a specific software. Basic computer skills and knowledge of programs like Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel are minimum requirements. You will be working in a team but being able to work independently and making decisions on your own is part of the job. The internal communication is in English so you are expected to master this language, both spoken and written.

Furthermore, you will be responsible to keep track of the inventory. In that regard it is important to be a dynamic and orderly person.


  • Prepare packages to be shipped to customers and other business contacts on-time.

  • Ensure all paperwork accompanying packages is correct.

  • Package orders and process shipments via shipping software systems.

  • Troubleshoot shipping problems. Fix or communicate to management as necessary.

  • Help maintain accurate inventory.

  • Stay current with company communications by frequently accessing email and other methods of communication as required.

  • Encourage and aid in cross-departmental training and knowledge-transfer.

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree.

  • 1 to 3 years of work experience.

  • Capable of making administrative / procedural decisions and judgements.

  • Be self-motivated, with the ability to see what needs to be done.

  • Basic computer skills which include knowledge of the Internet, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

  • Adapt to changes in the process.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Be highly organized, able to multi-task and capable of meeting strict deadlines.

  • Interact in a professional manner with customers, employees and all levels of management.

  • Ability to work in a group or independently.

  • Read, write and speak English and Dutch fluently.

  • Be able to lift 20kg.
