The EU Operations DBS Leader for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for a ctively promoting and driving the implementation of the Danaher Business System across European Operations in Beckman Coulter.
Reporting to the VP EU Operations this role can ideally be based at our Beckman Coulter facility in Co.Clare, Ireland or Munich Germany but also flexible to other European locations.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Actively promote and drive the implementation of the Danaher Business System across European Operations in Beckman Coulter.
Develop, support and challenge the EU Operations KAIZEN leadership talent pool
Actively participate in the Beckman Coulter EU Ops Leadership team and be an active part of the development and realization of goals and strategies.
Personally, contribute to the business and growth of Beckman Coulter EU through active and innovative participation with the Beckman Coulter Global organization.
Take Leadership for delivery of strategic Beckman Coulter initiatives as shall be discussed, directed and agreed.
Facilitate and Lead the successful implementation of Kaizens for PD/KPI initiatives.
Ensure that the Certified Practitioner funnel, the Kaizen funnel and sustainment process in EU Operations are functioning correctly.
Lead EU Operations LEAN conversion
Ensure that all DBS implemented operations are performed at quality levels and standards as specified by international and national authorities (FDA, cGMP, ISO etc) and Beckman Coulter world-wide needs.
Objectively assess the current state of the organization and champion the closure of the gap
Serve as thought and change leader
Developing a standard for DBSL performance
Effectively leveraging the existing DBS capability across EU Ops
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 14+ years relevant experience in the Health Care industry
Proven DBS Leader with an innovative and creative track record and a flair for continuous system improvements
Ability to analyze commercial capabilities, identify root cause and growth tool opportunities
Strong Knowledge of key DBS tools: 5S, Standard Work, SMED, VSM, PSP, VRK, 4E (or non-DHR equivalents)
Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situation, effective at structured problem solving and critical thinking
Ability to work with functions in the implementation of the DBS roadmap and implement key growth initiatives; successfully drives change, handles conflict / ambiguity
Ability to be an independent worker, capable of operating in a fast-moving, ever changing environment and able to effectively deal with difficult situations.
Ability to Travel - up to 50% of time if based in Clare or Munch - travel may be up to 75% if based in other EU location.
