As a Business Intelligence Specialist within the Functional Digital & BI Team, you will be responsible for working horizontally across the Life Sciences Businesses in order to deliver trusted and actionable BI solutions. You will work with complex data sets, from multiple systems and sources, with the aim of presenting clean analytics that allow stakeholders to draw meaningful and actionable conclusions.

Working effectively with strategic delivery support teams will be critical to provide the guidance, access, and data needed to deliver projects within clear and agreed timelines.

What you'll do

  • Manage demands from Life Sciences businesses globally including all stages of solution delivery: Project Scope, Development, Unit / User Testing, and Production Release

  • Develop impactful dashboards using supported Business Intelligence tools, primarily QlikView and QlikSense, within agreed upon timelines

  • Maintain and enhance existing BI solutions in an effort to improve visualizations that are actionable with the aim to allow the business to reach actionable conclusions

  • Independently translate stakeholder requirements into actionable development and project plans

  • Educate and work with various workstreams to train users on existing tools and train on best practices within digital realm

  • Partner with counterparts in IT teams and Centers of Excellence to source and validate data to be fed into BI Solutions

  • Proactively manage current projects with defined developmental tasks and maintain clear backlog of development projects

  • Share best practices within Digital Enablement Team

  • Develop within Qlik framework identified as best practice to streamline releases

  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

  • Knowledge and understanding of all Global Privacy and Anti-Competition Policies (including but not limited to GE Healthcare HIPAA Guidelines, NEMA Regulations, etc.) and operates within them to ensure that no company policy or US / Int’l Law is broken

  • Knowledge and understanding of all Environmental Health Policies (including but not limited to GE Healthcare EHS Policies, GE Healthcare Fleet Rules, etc.) and operate within them to ensure that no company policy or US / Int’l Law is broken

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

  • Drive continuous improvement on all related processes, work instructions, and procedures to ensure ongoing standardization and simplification of the Quality Management System NEHPP

Who you are

  • Bachelor Degree

  • 3+ years’ experience in data and analytics

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, exhibits the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at different level in the business

  • Must have the ability to independently arrive at solution with limited direction; a self starter

  • Knowledge of BI/Data Mining Tools including QlikView, QlikSense, SQL, etc

  • Knowledge of ERP Systems including Oracle and/or SAP

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel demonstrating prowess using techniques such as Pivot Tables, vlookup formulas, macros, etc

  • Proficient at PC office software such as Word, PowerPoint etc.

  • Detail oriented, commitment to deliver the results

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on tight timelines

Desired Characteristics

  • Understanding of scripting and visualizations of Qlik Products

  • Proficiency with SQL and other data extraction tools

  • High level knowledge of Oracle, SAP, Salesforce.com, web tools, etc

  • Able to juggle multiple projects

  • Excellent communication skills
