Danaher Corporation Logistics Learning and Development Trainer in Lodi, California

POSITION SUMMARY:

Work/responsibilities regularly span multiple job families within this job group. Ensures effective and efficient management, integration and continuous improvement of Supply Chain management processes and technologies from vendors through to customers and joint venture partners. Responsible for logistics planning and forecasting needs for products and services as well as distribution plans. Responsible for selecting and establishing vendor relationships and obtaining the desired value as well as defining and implementing strategy and process changes that improve turnaround times for optimal procurement of goods and services. Accountable for the logistics, warehousing and storage of products. Import/export roles with responsibility for the efficient and economical movement of goods (e.g., materials, products, equipment) in accordance with organizational policies and in compliance with relevant local, country and international customs laws and processes should be assigned to this job family.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, coordinate and administer a comprehensive training curriculum for both new hire and existing logistics employees.

  • Create a training schedule for recertifications and post on Share drive or SharePoint.

  • Ensure training is tracked and recorded, including progress and skill sets.Create, manage and update training content and associate compliance audits. Ensure Logistics Training records are kept updated.

  • ISO compliance administrator coordinating and participating in internal audits.

  • Develops, trains, and troubleshoots any SAP transactions for all Logistics business needs

  • Once new business process is implemented, monitor process adherence (e.g. Gemba walk, super user training).

  • Define KPIs where necessary (ideally through internal or external benchmarking), analyze process performance and suggest process improvement or user training.

TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)

  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time

  • For people managers, ensure your associates attend and complete all required trainings satisfactorily and on time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience (in years):

  • Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years of related work experience.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and SAP required.

  • Previous Kaizen/Continuous Improvement experience.

  • Expert knowledge of Transportation and Logistics operations.

  • Experience in Biotech / Pharmaceutical manufacturing process, principles and practices; preferably at production site and headquarters level.

  • Experience in working internationally in a fast-paced, reputable global Biotech / Pharmaceutical or Consumer company organized in a matrix structure.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in training / program management role.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills.

  • Experience in technical training: classroom training, virtual training and courseware development.

  • Knowledgeable in SAP system, movement types including troubleshooting different transactions.

  • Knowledgeable in 5S implementation and sustainment.

  • Knowledgeable in Forklift operation and Safety Rules & Regulations. Able to train warehouse equipment including all types of forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.

  • Proven skills in shipping, receiving, inventory control processes, demonstrated problem solving and people skills, ability to work and communicate with people at all levels from assemblers to engineers to management.

  • Creation and implementation of SOP’s.

  • Experience with ISO audits and quality functions related to auditing and corrective actions

  • Good understanding and exposure to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other regulatory requirements.

  • Experience in developing and implementing world class, global supply chain planning processes and managing them through deployment of global logistics systems.

  • Expert knowledge of Transportation, Logistics and Customs operations.

  • Exposure and experience in Biotech / Pharmaceutical manufacturing process, principles and practices; preferably at production site and headquarters level.

  • Experience in working internationally in a fast paced, reputable global Biotech / Pharmaceutical or Consumer company organized in a matrix structure.

  • Good understanding and exposure to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other regulatory requirements.
