Danaher Corporation Manufacturing Engineer in Lodi, California
This position will assist in tool component replacements and repair. This person will closely coordinate with tooling, production, quality and other members of the manufacturing group to ensure compliance and reduce downtime arising from the repair of the tool.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute and or review tool component replacement protocols to ensure quality of product and to minimize downtime
Perform and or review tests and generate data to support engineering tests, validation reports and failure investigations.
Continually drive development and improvement of component qualification documentation.
Provide feedback to tooling and the tool component manufacturers with regards to quality concerns.
Generate and or review work orders for tool component modifications.
Gather and secure parts and or components that require measurements and or reports.
Assist in troubleshooting molding issues that stems from faulty tool component.
Maintain files of quality documents and records. (Inspection data sheets, forms, drawings, tool adjustments, etc.)
Assist and contribute in failure investigations.
Assist in creating SOP, Work Instructions and training.
Ensure cavity status is appropriately updated and communicated to stakeholder departments.
Perform administrative tasks, including lab organization, equipment acquisition, and experimental reports/presentations.
- Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time
Education or Experience (in years):
- Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years of related work experience.
Knowledge and skills:
Knowledge of CAD software. (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
Experience in using general QC equipment, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, optical comparator, indicators, CMM’s and other mechanical inspection equipment
Competent in GD&T, specifically in translating requirements into measurements and assessing results.
Ability to perform FAI, In process inspection and Final inspection of various molded products
Basic understanding of Kaizen principles, quality system requirements and compliance issues
Proficiency in Office software. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Strong written and communication skills
Good organization and documentation skills.
Have attention to detail
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Must be able to stand for several hours. Work may involve repetitive arm/wrist motions.
