Danaher Corporation Mold Technician 1 in Lodi, California
Perform Qualification Tooling functions:
- Disassemble, clean and assemble High-Quality Medical Plastic Injection Molds, execute detailed Work Order instructions and assist with the Mold qualification process.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand and adhere to Cepheid safety policies and practices.
Follow mold disassembly, assembly and cleaning procedures.
Read, comprehend and execute detailed Work Order instructions.
Read, comprehend and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.
Handle precision Tooling components without damaging them.
Disassemble and Inspect molds for signs of wear and damage.
Assemble Molds with all Tooling components in the correct location.
Maintain tool shop standards, practices, and housekeeping.
Work under close supervision during Mold disassembly and assembly.
Use Hand tools eg Impact guns, Ratchets, Allen Wrenches and Torque Wrenches.
Use Micrometers and Dial Calipers To measure tooling components.
Apply company policies and procedures to complete daily tasks.
Clean equipment and machines after use.
Work overtime or other shifts per delivery and customer requirements.
Additional responsibilities as may be assigned by Shop Supervisor.
Education or Experience (in years):
0-1 year of related experience
High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience
Experience in Manufacturing Industry
Knowledge and skills:
Work cooperatively with fellow employees in a team environment
Computer skills, for inter-office email and job communication
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to pay close attention to detail.
Basic mechanical skills. Automotive / Agriculture Power Train Background is a transferrable skill set.
Basic Machine Shop experience.
Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Ability to work in a clean room environment.
Machine Shop experience, work or classroom.
Plastic injection Mold Maintenance experience.
