Danaher Corporation New Product Introduction System Specialist in Lodi, California

POSITION SUMMARY:Customer Care New Product Introduction (NPI) is a team within Global Customer Care Enablement team at Cepheid. The primary mission of this team is to interface across our organizations to help drive support & service activities ranging from establishing processes, technical leadership for support of new product roll-outs in the field.The successful candidate is primarily responsible in taking ownership of new products through successful and sustained project launches. They serve as a point of contact within the Customer Care teams for all new product launches. Turning voice of customer into customer realities, they will get to work across all functions of the organization to drive support & service for new product releases globally.

Essential Job Responsibilitie:

  • As part of the NPI team, lead customer enablement and implementation activities on Cepheid HW product portfolio projects including design reviews, Launch Excellence and launch activities.

  • Manages Customer Care Core teams and partners with regional and internal teams to ensure customer support readiness for product launch

  • Actively participates in the product development cycle, providing product and process DFS (Design for Service) input into product development core teams to enhance serviceability and productivity for ongoing new programs.

  • Develop and manage Service & Support plans and deliverables through various phases of development projects including post launch monitoring and partnering with HW engineering and Quality teams.

  • Follow technical issues with products to sustain support strategies and amend when necessary

  • Utilize Danaher Business Systems (DBS) tools like VPM, PSP, Daily management and Gemba to ensure project deliverables are visible and are met.

  • Identify and recommend appropriate changes to processes or features to facilitate improvements in the product for future offerings

  • Responsible for providing organized view of tasks and projects within the teams

  • Functions as a liaison with the design teams (Software & Hardware) to help create design that can be serviced with world-class quality

  • Proactively evaluate and challenge designs for serviceability.

  • Provides feedback to management regarding product usability, reliability, and serviceability.

  • Create process workflows with a cross-functional team for new products using visual project management tools

  • Successfully partner with Product & Program Management teams to help advocate customer needs.

  • Monitors key performance indicators for the activities within NPI

  • Provides monthly status reporting of all projects within the NPI team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, with 5+ years of related work experience (in Life Science or Clinical Laboratory Science) OR Master’s degree in field with 3+ years of related work experience

  • Experience with Cepheid SW or similar medical devices

  • Strong technical skills in troubleshooting products

  • Experience in an ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or medical device manufacturing environment a plus.

  • 3 years and above relevant experience in supporting new product launches

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment.

  • Prior experience in medical device or other highly regulated industry is preferred.

  • Excellent Project Management skills.

  • Excellent knowledge of 21 CFR part 820 and ISO 13485

  • Functional knowledge of Salesforce CRM and SAP

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, and the ability to identify and recommend best courses of action from several alternatives

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge and application of commercial computer application packages (Windows, MS Office, learning development platforms, mobility applications, etc.)

  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, and constantly changing environment

  • Self-motivated, self-governing, organized, and with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to perform responsibilities as stated with minimal supervision

  • Ability to create and contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment

Travel: 5-10%
