Danaher Corporation QC Training Coordinator in Lodi, California

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and perform the training of Quality Control associates for Assay Testing, Instrument Operation, Quality Management Systems including Good Document Practices (GDP), and Laboratory Operations

  • Develop, continuously assess, and revise interactive training curricula for New Hire Onboarding, OJT, as well as all other departmental training needs

  • Create classroom content to educate QC associates on the topics of Molecular Biology, Microbiology, PCR, Cepheid assays, and how to trouble shoot and investigate out of specification test results

  • Audit compliance to GLP and the amplicon management program

  • Assist in training and troubleshooting for department’s Learning Management System (LMS): ComplianceWire

  • Follow relevant procedures to ensure all Training Records and reference documents are tracked

  • Ensure that any revised change to a procedure is clearly communicated to the affected teams

  • Work with the Area Supervisors to complete and provide on-site Classroom and On-the-Job training (OJT) and Cross Training requirements

  • Identify and communicate any gaps, needs, and plans of action for training curricula improvements

  • Support and participate in audits for FDA, ISO, and any others as requested

  • Perform audits in Quality Control laboratories to ensure compliance, quality, and safety

  • Assist with the day-to-day training needs in absence of other team members

  • Implement improvements to test methods and procedures as needed

TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience in molecular diagnostics with Cepheid’s assays and instruments

  • 0.5+ years of classroom instruction experience of complex subject matter at the high school or college level

Knowledge and skills:

  • Medical Device industry experience, preferably IVD

  • Experience with GDP, GLP, and cGMP

  • Good communication and presentations skills, both written and oral

  • Ability to summarize/explain/present training in technical and non-technical terms

  • Self-motivated, highly focused, detail-oriented, and a team player with the desire to learn

  • Work effectively with others and respects all learning styles

  • Adaptive style for training

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word

Other:

  • Travel to Cepheid’s California manufacturing facilities will be required

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in Quality Control
