Danaher Corporation Training Programs Lead in Lodi, California

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Arrange training schedules and team training plans.

  • Lead training efforts and training team.

  • Coach team to high training and facilitation standards.

  • Audit team facilitation and training quality.

  • Act as POC for training programs and plans.

  • Develop classroom, virtual, and workshop-based training sessions using the ADDIE Process.

  • Act as site training development consultant, providing start to finish project management and professional advice.

  • Develop courses for various settings: 1-on-1, large group, small group, etc.

  • Develop training videos, eLearning courses, classroom courses, classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids, guides and manuals.

  • Develop highly engaging training courses for direct labor, indirect labor, and leaders.

  • Develop training materials by completing thorough research, collaborating with SMEs and assessing the employment needs of departmental managers.

  • Direct structured learning experiences and monitor their quality results.

  • Achieve inclining numbers on metric of influence assigned, per project.

  • Monitor and maximize training session enrollments and completions.

  • Support associates with session scheduling and cancelations. Troubleshoot and resolve registration issues; answer associates' inquiries.

  • Integrate, apply, and suggest creative integration approaches for the following training principles and learning theories:

  • Blended Learning

  • Bruner’s Spiral Curriculum

  • Bloom’s Taxonomy

  • Discovery Learning

  • Kirkpatrick’s Training Evaluation Model

  • Adult Learning Principles

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned training programs.

  • Regularly report training measurements and program progress to leadership team.

  • Regularly read materials and complete training sessions related to training, learning, leadership development, manufacturing, quality, community engagement, psychology, cognitive development, etc. from reputable sources for continued learning

  • Serve as LMS Admin for related projects.

  • Integrate change management elements into the programs design to ensure effective implementation for rollout.

  • Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Standard Work (SW) and Work Instructions (WI’s).

  • Approach interactions with high levels of empathy and understanding.

  • Maintain coachability and openness to negative feedback.

  • Adapt effectively to quickly changing priorities, as outlined.

  • Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses.

TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)

  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School degree (or equivalent) with 4+ years manufacturing experience with training experience and advanced computer proficiency.

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with advance computer proficiency and social skills.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Experience in program development and creation.

  • Experience in video development and creation.

  • Mastery in Microsoft Office (Word, PPT, Excel, Outlook).

  • Experience in compiling data to support metrics analyzing current process.

  • Ability to interface effectively with a cross-functional team environment.

  • Strong attention to details skills.

  • Ability to work and communicate with people at all levels from assemblers to engineers to management.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and facilitate group trainings.

  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Presentation skills.

Physical requirements/abilities:

Education and Experience (in years):

  • High School Diploma

  • 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing, warehousing, or similar environment/industry

  • Experience providing instruction to a group of people

  • Experience with training development

  • Familiarity with different training approaches

Physical requirements/abilities:

  • Must be able to lift 5 lbs. Must be able to stand for several hours. Work may involve repetitive arm/wrist motions.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels, including senior leadership

  • Gain an understanding all TD offerings and programs; learn how HR generalist and specialist groups, like Talent Development, partner and collaborate with the business on key HR programs, processes

  • Interested in learning how CG creates the ultimate learning experience.

Education and Experience (in years):

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, communication, or design

  • Proven experience in designing multiple training events in a corporate setting

  • Adequate knowledge of learning management software

  • Sound decision making skills

  • Ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis and calculate training ROI

  • Familiarity with talent management and succession planning

  • Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles

  • Proven ability to master the full training cycle
