What you’ll do
Supports the design, development, improvement, and implementation of processes to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, improve quality, and promote flow through the application of lean and engineering concepts.
Uses engineering and lean principles to solve a range of complex problems related to operations, engineering, and service operations.
Uses process models, statistics, and hands-on simulations to optimize use and integration of facilities, equipment, materials, processes, and personnel.
Leads the development of models, data bases, and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides analysis and metrics for consultation to internal customers (e.g., management, departments, suppliers).
Leads the application of engineering concepts, techniques, analysis, and decision tools to promote and implement changes in manufacturing, engineering, and service operations.
Leads the analysis and design of the value stream, including capability, capacity, workflow, and logistics (e.g., critical path, lead-time, material flow, factory layout).
Who you are
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry .
5+ years of engineering experience.
Must possess experience in problem solving and continuous improvement projects.
Analytical and quantitative skills; statistically literate and familiar with lean concepts and tools.
Experience gathering and analyzing data. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
Ability to effectively communicate with engineering peers, management, and non-engineering support staff as well as operators on the shop floor.
Experience in six or more of the following: lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, value stream analysis, facilities layout design, ergonomics, process modeling, manufacturing operations support, six sigma, statistical/trend analysis, capacity planning.
Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Solid Works.
