What you’ll do
The Distribution Lead is responsible for leading the day-to-day work in the distribution functions. This position may provide input or recommendations to supervisory personnel on hiring and performance assessment. They are responsible for execution of the day-to-day requirements of the shipping, receiving, stocking, inventory accuracy, incoming inspection and material distribution roles.
Reads work procedures and provides instruction to others as required to effectively lead area
Provides clearly defined goals and feedback to personnel
Effectively manage resources to consistently achieve productivity goals in assigned area
Effectively manage work requirements in the logistics area to achieve customer satisfaction
Collaborates with other leads and shares best-demonstrated practices
Teamwork, respects others’ ideas and contributions
Prepare materials for shipment involving all models of transportation (LTL, TL, ocean & airfreight)
Creates excitement and drives engagement
Ensures a smooth transition between shift via a comprehensive verbal pass down with peers
Communicates effectively and consistently utilizing both verbal and visual media to define the goals and objectives and foster a culture focused on continuous improvement
Monitoring the requirements
and adjusting workloads and resources appropriately to maximize efficiency and meet required productivity goals
Monitoring, reporting and investigating defects
Identify and communication deviations to appropriate stakeholders. Work collaboratively with stakeholder on root cause analysis and resolution
Assisting in implementation of process improvements to increase quality and productivity levels
Other duties as assigned, and may be asked to be included in quality activities, training sessions, and employee activity teams
Participates in quality control inspections when required
Comply with EHS regulations and policies

Aware of and comply with Stop Order, Concession, Defect Awareness, ESD, non-conforming material, material identification/segregation and Good Documentation Practices procedures as associated with this job type/position.
Aware of and comply with the Cytiva Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
Complete all planned Quality and Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
Who you are
High school diploma or local equivalent
Demonstrated ability to communicated (read, write, and speak) in English
Must be capable of passing Department of Transportation’s Health Exam to operate company vehicle routing materials to and from company and outside warehouses
Proficient in basic mathematics
Capable of working in extreme cold conditions (-20 ̊ C/-4 ̊ F) on a regular basis
Ability to communicate well and work with others
Basic computer skills
Ability to consistently lift up to 75 pounds
Ability to utilize automated lifting equipment – have forklift certification or ability to become certified
2+ years’ experience in storing and material handling
Previous experience with Oracle and Master Control
Knowledge of computerized material flow methods
Basic knowledge of quality and inventory control
Prior experience using a forklift and weight scales
