What you’ll do:

In this role, you will provide EHS guidance and oversite for the Logan construction site expansion project. This role will provide technical assistance on environmental, health, safety, and sustainability matters related to Cytiva Logan’s aggressive growth strategy. This includes aspects and risks associated with compliance, safety management systems, construction management systems, safety oversight, risk assessments, industrial hygiene monitoring, and compliance assurance programs.

  • Identify and assist in obtaining applicable permits as required in the EHS Management System (EHS MS).

  • Review and interpret environmental and civil specifications and drawings.

  • Understand state and local laws to ensure compliance.

  • Prepare site specific plans and submit required EHS reports.

  • Conduct site audits, evaluate project's compliance with safety regulations, identify areas of improvement and review investigation reports to ensure that corrective actions will eliminate recurrence and unsafe acts/conditions.

  • Leverage best practices (including use of visual project managements, problem solving, sustainability, waste, and water management, and other tools.

  • Monitor, forecast and communicate environmental and sustainability costs at the project level.

  • Provide weekly construction safety status reports.

  • Create, measure, identify trends, and improvement opportunities for construction safety.

  • Apply tools such as Daily & Visual Management for proper execution of project deliverables.

  • Provide project support for health and safety initiatives

  • Manage OSHA regulatory reporting and record keeping requirements,participate in investigations regarding safety non-compliance incidents and provide responses for operational issues.DISCLAIMER: This job description is not a complete statement of all duties and responsibilities comprising this position

Who you are:

  • BS/MS in safety, environmental, facilities, or sustainability management or related engineering degree.

  • Experience applying systems/tools to ensure projects are carried out in a compliant and safe way while meeting timelines, and budget targets.

  • 15+ years proven experience working with large manufacturing expansions, line moves, or construction projects with focus on EHS regulatory compliance, contractor management, and overall change management strategies.

  • Knowledge of facilities systems including electricity, water, HVAC, compressed air, chemical distribution systems, raw material storage, and waste management.

  • Position will be full-time on Logan's campus; 5% travel as necessary.

Knowledge & Key Skills Required:

  • Strong technical knowledge of environmental & safety regulations.

  • Incorporate sustainability best management practices.

  • Experience of implantation training programs

  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills, ability to research and work with detailed/technical matters and convey/explain the information to field personnel.

  • Ability to work in Microsoft Office programs as well as able to quickly learn other software applications.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform a variety of tasks with deadlines and potentially frequent interruptions.
