Goal of the Position:

The Unified Communications Specialist in the Danaher Global Architecture team, is at the core of one of the largest services in our global organization. As part of a small group of technology professionals, you will identify, recommend and implement innovative solutions and best practices to continuously improve, expand and protect our Unified Communications service supporting our worldwide workforce!

Your experience in the Unified Communications and Collaboration industry will allow you to lead migrations and integrations related to our Unified Communications service to support the growth of Danaher’s businesses through, for example, acquisitions!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, grow, automate and continuously improve our Unified Communications service through self-learning, training, collaboration with other industry professionals and understanding and translating the need of our customers.

  • Secure our Unified Communications service to continuously protect our customers, businesses and brands. You will work closely with our Information Security team to validate policy, configuration and identify new threats.

  • Guide design sessions for global SIP integration with Microsoft Teams.

  • Collaborate with a large internal IT group and lead or help others to solve complex problems.

  • Lead migrations to and from Office 365.

  • Lead implementation and integrations with Phone Systems.

  • Mentor, guide and train the support/operations teams through online sessions, documentation and site visits.

Education, Skills and Competencies:

  • 5+ years hands-on experience supporting large, complex infrastructures and projects.

  • Extensive experience in enterprise solutions architecture where teamwork, communication, scripting, process and monitoring are key elements to success.

  • A proven track-record of successfully participating in secure and reliable implementations of new services as part of a project team.

  • A good script is as much fun as reading a good book.

  • Crisp communication skills are required.

  • Able to adapt to a dynamic environment and changing business requirements.

  • Highly collaborative, successful in a matrixed and geographically diverse environment.

  • Detail and results oriented.

  • Able to travel 15%.

You have significant expertise in the following technologies:

  • (Azure) Active Directory

  • Microsoft Skype for Business Online and Microsoft Teams

  • Video & Audio Conferencing

  • Voice services

  • (PowerShell) Scripting

  • Microsoft Windows Server technologies.

  • UC Infrastructure components and protocols like Session Border Controllers, Gateways, SIP

  • Solid understanding of Networking Technologies & Protocols (like LAN, WAN, WLAN, TCP/IP, SIP, VoIP, QoS, BGP/OSPF, MPLS)

  • Security components and concepts including firewalls, IDS, IPSEC, PKI

  • Tooling expertise for pro- and re-active support, reporting purposes, (real time) dashboards, protocol analysis (like Call Analytics, Call Quality Dashboard, Power BI)
