Danaher Corporation Electrical/Mechatronics Intern in London, Ontario

Position Summary

Trojan Technologies is looking for an innovative self-starter who is interested in supporting Engineering initiatives focused on R+D and product development Testing verification and validation under general supervision of an engineer or more senior technologist.


  • Candidate will be involved in engineering projects through testing and validation, report writing and result analysis/recommendations, documentation, and assembling test fixtures.

  • Supporting product engineering changes from ideas to production, while following the engineering and implementation procedures.

  • Active member of the Engineering department and responsible for carrying out a number of technical functions in an engineering/scientific role.

  • Interpreting work assignment instructions, and selecting standard procedures, techniques and equipment.

  • Designing and building experiments to investigate or verify new technologies or products.

  • Demonstrating continuous improvement through Kaizens.

  • Candidate will be involved in stages of electrical and controls design for UV disinfection equipment – concept generation, prototyping, design, implementation, testing, documentation.

  • Implement final design through the organization, working with other functional areas such as Manufacturing Operations and Service.

  • Follow Trojan Technologies processes and provide suggestions and support for process improvement

Qualifications required:

  • Post-secondary enrolment in Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology Program

  • Proven working knowledge and experience of electrical design practices

  • Proficient in using AutoCAD software

  • Sound knowledge of electrical safety practices

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word

  • Ability to learn new tools and technology quickly

Experience with any of the following an asset:

  • SolidWorks

  • PLC programming

  • Communication Networks
