The Innovation DBS Leader is responsible for working with our global product development teams to drive DBS capability growth and continuous improvement. This is a Director level role reporting to the SVP Systems, Software and Automation and is a key partner to the operating company President and to the Business Unit SVP/GM’s for developing and implementing our DBS strategies. The Innovation DBSL will partner with the Danaher DBS Office to drive the utilization of DBS Innovation processes and tools associated with Strategic Innovation Review and Product Planning Group as well as individual new product development programs.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Implement and sustain Danaher Business System innovation processes and tools including Strategic Innovation Review and Product Planning Group.
Implement Danaher Innovation Playbook across BEC Dx to assess organization skills/capabilities.
Develop DBS Road Map and Action plan to increase organization maturity.
Directly provide formal and informal DBS training and coaching and facilitate other DBS training sessions when appropriate.
Be an active Leader in VPM installation, Kaizens, PSPs and Daily Management reviews (as appropriate).
Ensure successful kaizen events by installing and ensuring compliance to the kaizen process (including; (1) planning of kaizens with a dynamic funnel process tied to PD and Daily Management, (2) kaizen execution and (3) sustainment of kaizen output).
Promote and facilitate diagnosis of workflow impediments and other waste throughout the business and provide expert counsel on appropriate DBS tools to eliminate them.
Coordinate with DBSO for support required to implement DBS strategy.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or related field with 14+ years’ experience OR Master’s degree with 12+ years’ experience
5+ years of experience in Product Development
Significant Innovation DBS practitioner experience
Ability to travel up to 50% domestic and international
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
MS Degree in Engineering, Science or related field preferred
One or more DBS CP/ACP certifications preferred
Project management and process improvement experience preferred
