Danaher Corporation Global Key Account Manager, Engineering & Consulting Firms in Los Angeles, California
This is a remote role and can be based anywhere in the US near a major airport. Most ideal locations are Denver, Colorado, Los Angeles, California and Dallas, TX. All other locations will still be considered.
The Global Key Account Manager will shape and deliver on the strategy & structure of the Hach Projects business. A focus will be on building relationships with large, international companies who are delivering projects in municipal and industrial water and wastewater markets. This role bridges internal relationships and drives multi-functional engagement within Hach and will also need to be well-networked externally to engage a defined, carefully selected set of Global Key Accounts.
(For the purposes of describing this role, the word ‘Projects’ is used to define opportunities influenced by Engineering & Consulting firms (E&C’s), Engineer/Procure/Construct firms (EPC’s) and/or System Integrators (SI’s) that involve the design, specification, procurement and installation of equipment & systems on behalf of a Hach customer/end-user to achieve desired/improved business performance.)
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Develop strategic relationships and eventually partnerships with large Project Delivery (E&C/EPC/SI) companies, driving funnel growth and increased win rate.
Understand the market and its trends, competitors, and opportunities covering the whole project process (including end-users, design engineers, integrators and OEM’s)
Conduct and support market research, including voice-of-the-customer interviews, to assess current and future customer requirements and benchmark competition.
Support regional sales leaders to develop project business and improve capabilities of the regional project organizations in various global regions.
Work with multi-functional leaders and teams to develop and improve sales tools and Hach offerings needed to facilitate success with Projects Key Accounts.
Build strategic alliances and partnership with companies offering complimentary products.
Lead the project pursuit across all internal and external partners from early identification through secured purchase order including identifying key partners, overall plan development, execution and follow-thru.
Ongoing mentorship, side-by-side client visits, training and development to the sales team.
Business, engineering, chemistry, process technology, or related technology bachelor degree required; MBA preferred
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in selling consultancy solutions
Broad experience in project management (as relevant to this role), strategy, sales/marketing and/or business development.
Global Key Account Management experience is desired.
Knowledge and experience in Sales or Business Development in a large engineering consultancy company is desired.
Experience working within a large global organization.
Travel will be approximately 40%, domestic and international.
The salary range for this role is $120-$130k. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
