As the Lead Dev/ML Ops Engineer, CDS Solutions, you will be responsible for providing DevOps and ML Ops leadership to support new product development for the Clinical Decision Support (CDS) Solutions team. In this role, reporting to the Director, Software & Systems Engineering, CDS Solutions, you will help shape an innovative digital diagnostics portfolio of new offerings that use machine learning and AI technology to improve clinical outcomes, and you will collaborate a team of highly skilled software engineers and data scientists to deliver these predictive analytics to healthcare providers via EHR-integrated CDS solutions. As the Lead Dev/ML Ops Engineer, you will be the leader within our cloud infrastructure and work hands-on in Kubernetes. You will drive the process for rapid CI/CD pipelines to production in multiple regions. You will partner with the software development and data science teams to drive key initiatives, continuously looking for opportunities to automate and apply new technologies for optimization.

In this role, you will have the following opportunities, including but not limited to:

  • Implement, and maintain highly available infrastructure on Azure and Kubernetes, working closely with the software engineering, QA, and IT teams to deliver large-scale systems using CI/CD pipelines optimally, including ML Ops in Azure Machine Learning.

  • Support cloud infrastructure across multiple regions. Collaborate with IT to ensure provisioning, management, and monitoring Azure Cloud services/systems. Manage disaster recovery scenarios, including geo-replication.

  • Work with software engineering leadership to cultivate operational standards and identify and prioritize opportunities for innovation in the existing systems and technology. Conduct root cause analysis of critical situations and make recommendations and plans for preventing recurrences.

  • Support security audits (SOC2), accreditation, certification processes, and obtain authority to operate for cloud-based system architectures.

  • Stay on top of technology trends and develop expertise in emerging cloud technologies.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent related experience with 4+ years of relevant experience in implementing DevOps principles and building CI/CD timelines within IT infrastructure.

  • At least 2 years of experience with application hosting within the Azure ecosystem with experience managing builds and releases in Azure DevOps.

  • Knowledge of various DevOps tools and technologies, including Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Jira, or Git source control and build tools. Familiarity with ML Ops concepts and Azure Machine Learning.

  • Experience with cloud security and certifications such as SOC2. General experience in healthcare with familiarity with HIPAA regulations.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum concepts and experience working in an Agile environment.

This role can be remote or based in one of Beckman Coulter’s offices in Brea, CA; Miami, FL; or Chaska, MN.
