This position encompasses facets of Sales, Marketing and Business Development in year one. The role will transition into strictly a sales role based on yet to be identified market opportunities. This position will work closely with STT(s) and Marketing during the transition period. Relationship building through professional associations, development of marketing campaigns, webinars and associated collateral. The position also entails continued research into emerging market opportunities. Achieve/Outperform annual budget forecasts and provide assistance in identifying SME/advisory board candidates and potential strategic partnerships.


  • Coordinate efforts with Marketing to prepare for possible expansion of current intended use.

  • C-level customer account maintenance.

  • Potentially lead Kaizen(s) around launch excellence of Next Gen hemolysis product.

  • Clinical understanding of hemolysis, both in-vitro and in-vivo.

  • Participate in preparation for discussions with FDA for 510K process and amending intended use.

  • Strict adherence to regulatory compliance and MAPSS process.

  • Working relationships with QA/RA and Scientific Affairs.

  • Identify potential SME relationships and assist in development of annual Advisory Board meeting.

  • Grow strategic partnerships with MCS manufacturers.

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual product sales goals across multiple sales territories.

  • Maintain accurate and timely account strategy and opportunity planning information in SFDC.

Position Specific Competencies / Experience

  • 5 yrs+ sales experience in hemolysis, cardiovascular and/or Mechanical Circulatory Support plus 10 yrs+ overall sales experience.

  • Expertise in Clinical testing related to Mechanical Circulatory support. Including (but not limited to) ECMO, VAD, PCI, TAH, TAVR.

  • Knowledge of Point of Care testing market with focus on hemoglobin and hemolysis

  • Experience in developing, utilizing clinical studies.

  • Experience in developing and managing SMEs for Advisory Board participation.

  • Participation in Product development process and business case planning.

  • New product process and launch planning.


  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s/MBA degree preferred.


  • English


  • Mid-level to advanced MS Office skills, Outlook Word, Excel, Internet

Travel (required estimated 50% of time)

  • Travel necessary to fully perform all functions of job

  • Customer Facing meetings re; New Business and VOC exploration

  • Attendance at domestic and international trade shows and exhibitions, leading Advisory board meetings, International seminars related to Mechanical Circulatory support
