Beckman is hiring a Senior Technical Product Manager for Echo will to be responsible for managing upstream marketing responsibilities for the Echo liquid handler. The selected candidate will be part of a team that is responsible for growing the sales and profitability of existing products and defining the future through innovation of new products and technologies.
The position will be heavily focused on strategy development and identifying areas of opportunity for new product development. We're seeking individuals, who possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. Someone who enjoys spending time in the market to understand customer challenges and working with technical teams to find innovative solutions.
The ideal candidate should have experience in strategy development for a life science company, consulting company, or experience as a product manager in a life science instruments company ideally managing instrumentation and software developed for liquid handling. Someone able to communicate with all areas of our multidisciplinary company, including applications, sales, research and development and manufacturing.
Synthesize market trends, competitive landscape, and technology pipeline to define strategy for growth in Genomics and Drug Discovery.
Use primary and secondary market research to identify high-value opportunities for innovation in target markets.
Represent portfolio on cross-business initiatives to identify opportunities to add value within the Danaher ecosystem of products and services.
Build and foster relationships with thought leaders in Genomics and Drug Discovery markets to maintain line of sight of emerging technologies.
Define product life cycle management strategy for Echo portfolio.
BS in biology, biotechnology, or similar degree; MBA preferred
10+ years’ experience in Genomics and/or Drug Discovery
5+ or more years of strategy development, ideally at a life science tools company or consulting company
3+ years managing a portfolio of instruments or equipment.
Prior sales or business development experience preferred
Demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility
Record of successful execution of projects in a matrixed organization
Strong communication skills and proven ability to influence others
