We are looking for a Sales Manager-Histology Instruments to develop and execute a successful sales strategy and plan for rapid revenue growth and market share expansion across the region, while leading a team of sales representatives to exceed Leica Biosystems sales goals and deliver on commercial strategies. The Sales Manager can live in IL, IN, S. MI, OH or KY.
All the responsibilities we will trust you with:
Achieve and exceed region’s quarterly and annual sales quota, strategic and unit sales mix objectives, profit goal and market share goals
Provide the direction, leadership, coaching and mentoring for direct sales representatives. Advance the professional development, professional conduct, sales effectiveness and efficiency of associates
Recruit, develop, and train sales representatives and specialists with clearly communicated sales and overall performance standards.
Forecast monthly revenue projections utilizing the company CRM (Salesforce.com).
Drive standard work to funnel management process in CRM (Salesforce.com)
Develop, solidify and maintain high-level relationships within key accounts (including NA Top 10) in assigned geography; these relationships should include Senior Hospital Management (C-Suite), Laboratory Administration, Department of Pathology, Purchasing and/or Materials Management, Contracts Administration and other key departments and/or personnel
Achieve and sustain high levels of customer satisfaction through delivery of sales and support assistance
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
5-7 years relevant sales experience
Prior management experience (external candidates only)
Prior capital sales experience
Contract negotiation/high level selling experience or selling in a matrixed environment
Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM
Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Internal Candidate Requirements:
Promotion - P3/P4 GCRF level applicant: Perform 90%+ to quota 2 out of 3 years (Within year is year to date) and 18 months in role (or business justification) and must complete Sales Manager Training Program
Lateral Move - M2 GCRF level applicant: Perform 85%+ to quota year to date and 18 months in role (or business justification) and requires Sales Director approval
