Danaher Corporation Environmental Operations Coordinator in Loveland, Colorado


The job requires the execution of established systems regarding the management of non-hazardous and hazardous production wastes, testing and treatment of process wastewater, response to emergency situations involving chemicals and hazardous waste, and assisting the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Department with departmental projects as necessary.


  • Collect, consolidate, handle, and ship hazardous, non-hazardous, and universal wastes in accordance with Hach’s Hazardous Waste Management Program.

  • Perform inspections of Satellite Accumulation Areas, Central Accumulation Areas, Waste Storage Areas and Portable Containers.

  • Conduct wastewater sampling, analytical testing, wastewater treatment, and wastewater discharge in accordance with Hach’s Wastewater Pre-treatment Permit issued by the South Fort Collins Sanitation District.

  • Perform waste management activities including the unpacking of products from finished packaging, defacing of finished product packaging, and disposal of non-hazardous materials.

  • Data entry and recordkeeping for waste and wastewater operations as required by the respective programs for waste management and wastewater pre-treatment and discharge.

  • Decontaminate equipment and materials that have come in contact with hazardous chemicals.

  • Operate coolant recycling system (to be implemented).

  • Administrative tasks as assigned (filing, data entry, etc.)

  • Comply with company safety & good housekeeping polices.

  • Assist the plant EHS team with tasks as assigned


  • Has the ability to communicate with associates on all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrates good judgment in decisions regarding cost and time utilization while performing daily activities

  • Utilized critical thinking and problem solving in addressing corrective actions that may arise during wastewater testing


  • Previous experience in wastewater testing methods preferred

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least two courses in college level chemistry preferred

  • Two years’ experience in laboratory chemistry preferred

  • Previous completion or immediate completion upon hire of required RCRA and DOT training for hazardous material handling and shipping.

  • Capable of utilizing Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.) and other software programs as necessary.

  • 0% travel required

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures and work space restrictions.

The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.

Employees will be required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which may include: eye, hearing and respiratory protection, protective smock, steel toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, or face shields. Contact lenses may not be allowed in some areas.

External hiring into this position is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check and possible credit history review.

The hourly rate or salary range for this role is $13.00-$18.27. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado.

This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
