About the Global Projects, Sales Leader role:

The Global Projects, Sales Leader is a role leading Hach's global projects team, guiding our projects key account go-to-market strategy and continuous improvement initiatives focused on all aspects of project execution and customer experience. This is a global role with the team engaged in projects in all major regions of the world.

'Projects' are capital-funded construction ventures that are managed by Engineering & Consulting firms (E&C's), Engineer/Procure/Construction firms (EPC's), and/or System Integrators (SI's) engaged in the design, specification, procurement, and installation of equipment and systems on behalf of an end-user.

The primary mission of this role is to improve enterprise-wide project execution through organization and process improvement aligned with Hach's strategic plan.

  • Accountable for translating strategy into annual sales plans which are aligned to key performance metrics

  • Lead a team of 4-6, providing coaching, situational leadership to create a dynamic, diverse & inclusive work environment

  • Develops relationships with senior level commercial and technical leaders within key accounts to identify opportunities and develop mutually beneficial partnerships

  • Provides leadership for all negotiations and internal approvals required for Global Framework Agreements; closely monitors all sustainment activities.

  • Partners cross-functionally to build processes required to drive execution and measure the impact of Hach’s project strategy and key initiatives

  • Implement and sustain standard work required to ensure high levels of project execution regionally, cross-functionally, and as appropriate collaborate at a WQ Platform level.

  • Develops data analytics and models to enable regional teams to improve project execution, sales growth, and profitability

  • Directs global project sales enablement; utilization of SFDC, training programs, and policies

Critical deliverables include:

Increasing Global Project Visibility, Scope, and Design Influence:

  • Utilization of external resources & market intelligence to qualify early-stage projects

  • Deploy collaborative account management across Global E&C, EPC, and SI's

  • Connect industry and Hach thought leaders with a focus on innovation linking business strategy to drive meaningful industry influence

Increasing Competitiveness and Project Win-Rates:

  • Deployment and sustainment of project process standard work across global regions

  • Project pursuit management of large complex and cross-border projects

  • Commercial alliances and framework agreements to improve competitiveness

Improving Execution and Customer Experience:

  • Establish process, align resources to ensure project milestones are delivered

  • Build with service processes to transition projects from start-up to sustainment

  • Design, implement, sustain KPI's focused on customer experience and overall project ROI

Are you qualified?

  • Bachelor’s degree, with 10+ years of business-related experience at large, matrix, international organization

  • Complex sales, project management, or consulting experience in Municipal or Industrial (O&G) markets preferred but not a requirement

  • Track record of success in both sales and strategic marketing roles. Ideally working large and complex projects interacting with end-users, engineering firms, and contractors.

  • Early career experiences in technical sales, project management, marketing

  • Microsoft Office skills essential; Professional experience with Salesforce.com preferred

  • Strong communication skills and executive presence are prerequisites, as are a high degree of commercial and technical competency

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Ability to analyze complicated issues and boil down to the key points, develop action plans and bring to a successful conclusion.

  • Capable of driving change management initiatives, introducing new strategies and tactics, demonstrating value, and sustaining improvements through the leveraging of DBS tools.

The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $250,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
