Danaher`s Water Quality Business is a global leader in water quality analysis and treatment, providing instrumentation and disinfection systems to help analyze and manage the quality of ultra-pure water, portable water, wastewater, groundwater and ocean water in residential, commercial, industrial, and natural resource applications. Our water quality business provides products under a variety of brands, including HACH, ChemTreat, and Trojan Technologies.


The primary role of this position is to develop and execute commercial strategy and tactics to drive growth of the Environmental Test Systems (ETS) Business Unit. The position ensures that the marketing strategy, customer communication, and management of the product portfolio is consistent with the overall business strategy and helps to deliver the company's growth objectives, successful new product launches, and attainment of on-going market and profit expectations.


Provide leadership and drive cross-functional alignment to deliver company objectives, including but not limited to:

Leadership * Support the BU Director in development and execution of the strategic plan for the business. * Build and develop high performing, growth-oriented team of associate product managers * Ensure the team is doing the right things (focusing on the crucial few) and doing things the right way (leveraging DBS and best demonstrated practices) Growth Focus * Partner with Sales, R&D, Customer Service, and Operations to demonstrate new and higher standards for well-executed new product introductions and commercial tactics to drive growth of existing products * Develop sound strategies to increase share in core markets and penetrate adjacent ones * Initiate and champion meaningful and sustainable Kaizens that assist in achieving the business unit objectives. Marketing & Product Management * Develop and execute annual business marketing/product plans and budgets. * Establish and track metrics for the team to gauge success, drive campaign effectiveness, and guide future tactical development. * Analyze product portfolio performance including sales, profitability, volume, price, vitality, and quality to drive actionable insights. * Advocate for cross-functional growth initiatives, manage product pricing and rationalization, develop product roadmaps, and lead the commercialization of new products and product enhancements. * Lead the creation and execution of VOC plans to ensure short and long term commercial success of current and future product portfolio; champion VOC within business unit to support strategic initiatives. * Lead the development of sales tools and presentations, working closely with Director of Business and Sales team. * Lead competitive analysis and research of competitors; develop and execute response initiatives including understanding of how competitive products compete with products in portfolio. * Bachelor's degree in business / marketing or technical field; MBA preferred * Minimum of 5 years of product management or marketing experience * Experience leading cross functional teams both through influence and directly. * Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize a collection of facts into logical and actionable conclusions * Strong written and oral communication skills for direct communication with customers, co-workers, and partners at all levels, all functions, and regions of the organization * Able to elicit and understand customer needs and translate customer needs into product requirements * Able to identify and prioritize the tasks necessary to meet long- and short-term objectives and effective time management and multi-tasking abilities to achieve these objectives * Demonstrated ability to develop and implement marketing plans to build awareness and generate demand with measurable results * Demonstrated ability to develop and work within fixed budgetary guidelines * Strong PC skills. Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat. * Able to travel up to 25% * Understanding of the customer segments and product applications is a plus * Understanding the trends impacting the company and its product lines is a plus
