The role of this position is to purchase and manage Water Quality Information Technology (WQ IT) Hardware, software, licensing and services. Responsible for developing and maintaining WQ IT procurement policies, standards, processes and standard work. Responsible for driving WQIT continual improvement projects to increase productivity, ensure licensing compliance and reduce cost. The incumbent will conduct these efforts with the highest level of personal, professional and ethical conduct.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (the below can be adjusted, based on what you are looking for)
Drives for Results
Software, licensing, hardware and service purchasing for WQIT.
Software licensing management for WQIT including annual renewals, true-ups, and new software/applications.
Inventory management and coordination for WQIT.
Charts the Course (Process Improvement)
Generate cost, quality and delivery improvements on WQIT purchases.
Develop and maintain hardware standards for WQIT.
Develop and maintain WQIT procurement policies, procedures and standard work.
Develop and maintain WQIT Client Services Procurement KPIs.
Develop and maintain WQIT hardware aging reporting.
Relationships and Influence
Partner with purchasing to locate, negotiate with and develop suppliers globally to ensure continuous improvement in quality, delivery, inventory, cost, support, and technological capability.
Support other WQIT teams’ projects purchasing and inventory requirements.
Maintain current knowledge regarding global market conditions affecting the supply chain.
Gather, organize, process, and communicate data, including reports, metrics and documentation.
Other projects, duties and responsibilities, as required.
The ideal candidate is a talented professional who can foster innovation and deliver results.
Associate degree in materials, business, supply chain, information systems, or relevant technical degree with 2 years’ experience in materials, procurement, operations or information systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
