Beckman Coulter Particle Counting and Characterization business is growing and needs intelligent, hardworking skilled systems engineers to work as part of our team to develop and deliver new products. The Systems Engineer applies modern development methodologies to create world class products. The Systems Engineer works with cross functional project teams to develop new products and sustain existing product lines.

  • Conducts Research and engages in sustaining and new product development of particle characterization and counting instrumentation independent of direct supervision. Provides R&D leadership within the group and cross-functionally as needed to drive innovation.

  • Support testing activities both domestically and internationally for Biopharma systems in accordance to key-performance-indicators: according to specification, on time and within budget.

  • Model Transfer Functions between instrument subsystems to identify critical parameters.

  • Model system and data workflows

  • Define critical parameters and design tests to ensure performance specifications are met.

  • Contribute to establishment of and continuous improvement of mechanical systems processes and procedures to support business needs and satisfy applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with marketing and application associates to identify new features and requirements for products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree in scientific field or equivalent combination of education and experience in a regulated development environment to perform at this level.

  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience required; experience must include reliability, new product development or sustainability engineering.

  • Familiarity with Agile development methods and management tools.

  • Knowledge of methods and tools for defining and documenting system architecture including system decomposition and workflow modeling.

  • Understanding of model based systems engineering, and test driven development.

  • Proven history of creativity, innovation, and troubleshooting.

  • Understanding of statistical methods to analyze variation, and Design of Experiments

  • Ability to critically analyze and evaluate data.

    -The hourly rate or salary range for this role is 90-120k. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. ----This range may be modified in the future.

    This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
