Our Loveland, Colorado location seeks a highly motivated engineer to join its R&D team in our Particle Characterization Research and Development group for the following duties:

Designing low noise analog circuitry as well as digital modules using microprocessors, microcontrollers, CPLD, FPGA and interfacing to digital and analog sensors. You will design and implement test rigs and software for design verification and functional tests of electronics modules. You will Identify risks and make recommendations for risk response strategies, (FMEA), including reliability test and measures. Create and maintain documentation of the specification and implementation of products. You will also participate in technical reviews, feasibility studies and project evaluations. Perform root cause investigations into failures and undesired system behaviors. Ensure production capability by identifying and qualifying alternate components for those that are end of life or are otherwise unavailable.

=> Located onsite in Loveland, CO

=> Relocation available

=> Hybrid work arrangement - onsite 2-3 days and remote a few days.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering with 10+ years demonstrated ability in product development and product engineering support role -OR- Master’s degree with 5+ years’ experience.

  • Experience designing prototype circuits, parts assembly, etc.

  • Proficient with use of bench top test equipment: oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, etc.

  • Demonstrated capability to solve and improve electrical designs and systems using a formal problem-solving methodology with analytical and statistical methods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Keen sense of off-the-shelf part capabilities.

  • Experience dealing with design changes in a structured design control/change environment for medical devices.

  • Experience with Cadence OrCad for schematic capture, and various FPGA design tools.

  • Experience with C/C++, Verilog and/or VHDL.

The salary range for this role is $135,000 - $145,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
