The position:

The Business Development Manager Biotechnology -Nordics is responsible to scout and generate new leads across the all Scandinavian region, Island included.

You will develop new Biotech customers within assigned territory by actively prospecting and qualifying specification opportunities and positioning Pall technologies and capabilities at customers developing antibody and recombinant proteins, Gene and Emerging therapies.

Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with marketing identify and develop new Biotech opportunities (from pipeline/drug tracking information or company start up level) through cold calls, emails and LinkedIn platform

  • Work in close relationship with sales support functions ( Bioprocess Specialists) to present Pall products and solutions to be incorporated in customers' processes

  • Establish good relationships with customers at various process development points in assigned territory

  • Monitor and report progress towards achieving projection ( specification wins, sales)

  • Work with marketing to track and report progress metrics for penetration of drug pipeline

Minimum Requirements:

  • University's degree in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Biology + 3-5 years of relevant experience preferably in Biotech industry OR a PhD in the above listed fields

  • Fluent Swedish and English, in written and spoken; any other Scandinavian language is a plus

  • PC literate, especially advanced Excel

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Bioprocess development process

  • Experience with numerous long sales cycles

  • Excellent communication & listening skills with a inquisitive attitude

  • Able to develop enduring relationships and build up a solid network

  • Commercially focused & self-starter, proactive and able to prioritize, set and achieve targets

  • Autonomous and structured

  • Willing to travel up to 70%
