The Senior Technical Customer Support Engineer - Automation (f/d/m) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for highest-level global customer support, new product development deliverables to delight customers.

This position is a hybrid role located in Munich, Germany.

You will be a part of the Global Product Technical Support Team and report to the Sr Manager, Global Product Technical Support Automation responsible for supporting Automation customers and Service deliverables for new Automation products.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead product line Technical Escalations of system issues from hardware and applications perspective to aid in problem diagnosis

  • Perform in depth analysis of service data to identify root causes to systemic issues and develop interim mitigations and potential corrective actions

  • Develop creative and effective support strategies, drafting product documentation such as, service manuals and procedures

  • Build hardware and software installation procedures for use by internal and external Engineers and Application Specialists

  • Conduct technical training for Automation product lines, lead and mentor Technical Support teams

  • Provide recommendations in development projects and provide guidance to design and test methods for verification of all service and application procedures, build and execute test procedures and generate test summary reports

  • Develop requirements for Service and Support Diagnostics

  • Actively engage in the Early Response Team process for product introductions to ensure product success, employing sound project management

  • Ensure all safety, quality and regulatory requirements are in compliance with standards and agencies for a regulated industry such as: ISO, GMP and FDA

The requirements of the job include:

  • Engineering degree in electronics, mechanical, science or related technical field

  • 3+ years of relevant instrument experience in a regulated industry

  • strong technical experience, strong analytical skills, and good judgment to solve problems; analyses information and standard practices to make judgments

  • Effective written and spoken communication skills in English

  • Must be willing to travel internationally and domestically approximately 20-30% of the time

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience in the medical device or related industry

  • Experience with relevant software programs such as Oracle Business Intelligence Module Skill

  • Workflow and IT proficiency (e.g. Operation Systems, Application Software, Middleware Software and LIS Systems)
