The Junior Software Development Engineer PLC/C# (m/f/d) for Beckman Diagnostics is responsible for translating requirements into software design.
This position is part of the R&D department located in Munich (hybrid) and reports to the Manager of Module and Device-level Software. As Junior Software Development Engineer PLC/C# (m/f/d) you will be responsible to design, code and test software components. In this role you will participate in reviews and inspections for all elements in the software lifecycle to ensure that our software quality and customer satisfaction goals are achieved.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Prepare appropriate documentation as required by internal product development processes and regulatory agencies such as FDA and ISO
Translate requirements into software design
Create architecture, design, code and unit test modules/components
Participate in design, code and test reviews and inspections, ensuring application of software engineering best practices, as well as the feasibility, efficacy and compliance to functional and regulatory standards
Work closely with the software development and software verification teams
Investigate software, hardware, and system problems using a variety of techniques and provides innovative solutions
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
Experience in the field of robotics and control theory
First development experience with PLC programming using TwinCat 2 or TwinCat 3
Development experience with Visual C# with Visual Studio 2017 or higher
Experience with OOA/OOD development methodologies, UML tools and design patterns
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
.NET / .NET Core and Multithreading
Enterprise Architect
Agile Software Development
Medical device design & development
Familiarity with software development processes for a regulated environment (ISO13845 and ISO62304)
