Join a winning Sales team on the cutting edge of Biopharmaceutical & Life Sciences technology! In this role, the Sales Territory Manager is responsible for the sale of SCIEX instruments within designated pharma/biopharma and academia accounts, driving revenue and order growth in an assigned territory (primarily Chicago and parts of Wisconsin and Michigan) by following up on existing customers, new customer acquisition, cross-selling to existing customers, and working with distribution channels as vital for increased sales.

Responsibilities include:

  • Understands Biopharmaceutical & Life Science accounts and related analytical workflows (LC/MS/MS, biotherapeutic characterization)

  • Meeting and exceeding assigned sales targets and accurately forecasting monthly and quarterly sales.

  • Has a basic understanding of the sales process, different sales markets and has knowledge of our products and services

  • Has an understanding of how to use sales tools and CRM in order to handle funnel and achieve business results

  • Has a general understanding of our product portfolio and the ability to explain technical product or service information

  • Has basic knowledge of sales principles and methods of showing, promoting, and selling products or services.

  • Can successfully work in a team selling environment to navigate complex sales situations across multiple functions.

  • Ability to serve as liaison between key strategic global accounts within territory and SCIEX business unit providing feedback on market trends.

  • Uses standard account planning tools to guide own work and solve routine sales problems

  • Ability to apply decision and problem-solving skills to achieve straight forward results

Education and Professional Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Life Sciences or equivalent experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts in Life Sciences industry.

  • Two or more years of successful experience in direct scientific capital equipment sales focused on Biopharma and Biotech clients and Life Sciences research centers and Universities.

  • Proven experience in achieving and exceeded quota for capital equipment in the $3-5 M+ range .

  • Deep subject matter experience in Mass Spectrometry and / or scientific medical device from a clinical or laboratory setting is preferred.

  • Confidence in presenting, explaining, and conveying value proposition within device portfolio.

  • Ability to gain new clients with a “ Hunter “ mentality. Must be able to travel within designated territory and hold a valid driver’s license. Travel slated at 30-50 % within region. Fleet vehicle is provided.
