After a training and tailored learning programme when you join, the Assistant Accountant is an outstanding opportunity to help Finance Controller monitor day-to-day administration tasks relating to payroll, expenses, commissions, weekly order reports, general ledger reconciliations and financial reporting at monthly close.
Your responsibilities as an Assistant Accountant at Videojet, include:
Payroll Administration: Supervise monthly payroll (approx. 95 employees) including calculation of variable data (commissions, overtime, etc)
Benefits Administration: Manage training bonuses, lunch vouchers and car benefits for employees
Finance support: Support Finance Controller on monthly financial tasks such as issuing rent invoices and intercompany recharges
Taxes Administration: Review and submit tax reports to Government (VAT, Intrastat, Sales Returns, INE - Instituto Nacional de Estatistica)
Your experience/skills will include:
Knowledge of payroll processes in Spain
Knowledge of VAT and other tax calculations and reporting is a plus
Self-Motivated and independent – can complete tasks right first time, timely, with minimal direction
Methodical – detail-orientated, capable of highly accurate data collection
Flexible – comfortable with multi-tasking, able to efficiently prioritize time bound tasks
Proficiency in English
