We are looking for a Research Consumables Sales Specialist in Spain to work together with our team of Life Science experts in Iberia. You will be a part of a Southern Europe Research Consumables team, and a wider team of 7000 Cytiva employees across the world. What you’ll do

  • Very active promotion of products and solutions in the field to end customers in biotech, academia, pharma and industry segments with at least 70% of your time spent with customers. Manage sales effectively through distributors, direct and digital sales channels. Sales negotiation and deal closure, interfacing with all key buying influencers such as direct users and decision makers. Develop and implement local strategic business plans to drive business growth and actively use CRM system (Salesforce.com) to ensure transparency and total customer management.

  • Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge of both Cytiva and competitive products. Research consumable product lines are within the area of protein purification and characterization (Western blotting and Biacore) and nucleic acid purification & amplification and Whatman laboratory filtration (research, environmental testing, microbiology, food and beverage etc.).

  • Work closely with our network of distributors and monitor performance within the territory. Develop/ implement action plans to achieve maximum revenue and margin impact. Attend regular distributor reviews, hold product and business presentations, and provide training & support.

  • Work closely together with other internal stakeholders (Account Managers, Sales Specialists, Product Managers and Customer Care) within your region helping develop sales of the entire Cytiva Life Sciences portfolio.

Who you are

  • Degree and experience from the field of Life Sciences.

  • 2+ years of consultative sales experience including strategic selling and negotiation in a complex sales environment. Good understanding of the Life Science industry and trends in the marketplace.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze customer data and develop financially sound sales solutions.

  • Robust interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with a team within a multi-cultural matrix organization. High level of energy and a positive “can do attitude, willingness to share knowledge and success with others.

  • Willingness to travel within your specified geographic region with overnight stays

  • Fluent in Spanish & English with good knowledge of both written and verbal English. Proficiency in computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite products & Social media. Valid driving license.
