Danaher Corporation Senior Project Manager in Maharashtra, India

Key Responsibilities & Activities:

  • 80 % Responsible to manage global assigned projects according to contract, project budget, the required timing and quality including proper scope & claim management from first contact via order award to full completion of the project, including

  • Responsible for the analysis of contract and tender documents and the technical elaboration of the engineered equipment solution.

  • Take on the responsibility and ownership for the proposed equipment solution during project execution with a multidisciplinary team (establishment of project plan, coordination of project team, progress reporting and cost control)

  • Respect current industrial standards applicable for the project and work in accordance to our established quality management system.

  • Execute and coordinate all qualification activities included in the project (pre-FAT, SAT)

  • Responsible for complete project sign off.

  • Responsible for internal and external project reporting

  • 10 % Responsible for providing technical input in critical questions to the other team members while acting as a coach/trainer.

  • 10 % Taking ownership for key technical expertise and knowledge and making sure the organization can benefit from the expertise thru trainings and advices.

Candidate Qualifications & Experience:


  • BSc/MSc or equivalent in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.

Previous Experience:

  • 8-10 years of experience of process engineering / project management of equipment used in Food & Beverage manufacturing in an EPC company

  • Proven track record of having lead and successfully executed various complex projects within Food & Beverage industry or equivalent

  • Commercial acumen on project level, successful track record of claims management

  • Experience of working on projects in various cultures.

  • Experience of working with outside subcontractors including mechanical fabricators, electronic fabricators, Software designers and automation experts.

  • Ability to review and comment customer URS, tender and contract documents and possible executions strategy to to meet customer requirements.

  • Use of MS Office tools, SAP PP & PS, CAD Viewers, Adobe Acrobat

  • Detailed understanding of projects and contracts management, change and claim handling

  • Knowledge and understanding of the current industry guidelines for designing, manufacturing, testing and documenting Food & Beverage process equipment

  • Project management experience for the execution of system projects in accordance to the defined specifications, time schedule and cost.

  • Direct experience of working in the Brewing and Beverage industry would be an advantage

  • Ability and willingness to work in a multinational and interdisciplinary team with a high degree on global travelling.

  • Ability to communicate effectively on complex technical / engineering issues at the highest level. Pall internal as well as with the customer.

  • Language skills English, preferably a third language as an addition.

  • Ability to teach other team members from the key experiences and detailed technical know-how.
