Location: Home-based - Ideally located in the North of England . Manchester or surrounding areas
Travel required approximately 75% of the time.

Giving you the opportunity to work across all sectors of Beckman Coulter. As a IT Technical Specialist , you will have the sophisticated knowledge of general IT Topics such as networking, Security, HL7 (Health Level 7), ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials), All Server Configurations (Mirroring/Cascades etc).
Technical Role and Responsibilities
In this role you will provide exceptional hardware, software and application support to Beckman Coulter’s customers using our Data Management Middleware solutions and products.
Management Technology product line, following problems through to resolution and updating the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) escalation Module, where applicable.
Become a source of expert knowledge on Beckman Coulter Data Management systems & IT solutions as well as general IT Topics (Networking, Security, HL7 (Health Level 7), ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials), All Server Configurations (Mirroring/Cascades etc).
Take ownership for the completion of relevant metrics, including participation in daily management calls, updating escalation call notes and the application of countermeasures where goals are missed.
Work closely with the WITS Product Specialist in solution designs, to be able to technically validate and advise WITS Customer Operations Manager on any high tier upcoming projects/tenders in line with current standard work procedures.
Where identified as the Project Lead, to be responsible for the relevant product lines, from sales award, through installation to routine service support, using tools and resources available, identifying risk and communicating effectively where the variation from the plan arises.
Assist Call Technical Specialists (CTS) in timely responses of customer queries. Coach and mentor to upskill associates in this field.
To be accountable for the timely delivery of product MODS and working with CTS to manage the deployment.
Develop collaborative relationships with escalated Technical Support levels (L2-L0) and to attend continuous improvement workshops in the BU were required outside of the UK/Ireland.
To be a regional expert for the Remisol product line.
Where necessary, apply skillset to other products within the WITS product portfolio.
To build positive relationships with key IT stakeholders within private and public healthcare settings.
Degree or Higher Education level qualification in IT-related subject, or substantial relevant experience.
Extensive IT Knowledge - Networking, Security, HL7 (Health Level 7), ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials), All Server Configurations (Mirroring/Cascades etc).
IT experience within the medical diagnostics industry, at Pathology or Trust level is strongly desirable.
Experience working with IT/middleware solutions would be advantageous.
Proven experience in the installation of complex multi-site IT systems, preferably in a Healthcare environment with exposure to LIMS systems.
Experience of Microsoft Azure and VMware would be beneficial.
The ability to provide remote and on-site customer support.
The ability to provide second-line data management technical support across UK and Northern Europe region when required.
A natural communicator who demonstrates the ability to build a rapport with key customer IT stakeholders.
Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team, and alone at times with minimal supervision.
