The Senior Manager, Canada Marketing is responsible for and accountable for developing, implementing, and executing the regional strategy and marketing plan for Cepheid’s products and solutions, to deliver targeted demand generation to drive topline growth by filling the sales funnel, enhancing funnel velocity, expanding menu utilization, maintaining customers and securing new customer accounts to hit revenue targets in the Canada region. There is a growth opportunity to manage people and participate in and/or lead cross-functional teams or projects.

This position is part of the North America Marketing Organization and will be located in Canada, Cepheid Office in the Markham area. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and execute a strategic marketing plan to drive demand generation and core growth while increasing market share in the region: segmentation, market shaping, brand awareness, key opinion leaders’ engagement

  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Brand, External Communication, Marcom partners to identify and communicate regional priorities; support execution by coordinating cross-functional activities and sharing of best practices

  • Gather customer, competitive, market, and commercial insights to inform regional strategy as well leverage data and analytics to shape and inform decisions . Drive revenue contributions and market penetration through targeting, contact mapping, campaign and events development, handling of leads, opportunities generation, demonstrating the value of Cepheid’s products and solutions to key personas.

  • Responsible for establishing initiatives to build market visibility, through the creation and sustainment of a quality contact database to be used in support of sales and marketing initiatives to generate high-quality leads.

  • Identify customer needs and investigate existing and potential channels to create opportunities to sell existing on-market productions and solutions and implement targeted account-based marketing strategies within prioritized health system locations and throughout the customer journey

  • Manage and participate in setting and controlling local marketing forecasts, budgets, and key performance indicators (KPI) for the region, as well as actively participating in Growth Rooms

  • Monitor, track, and analyze the performance and R.O.I. of marketing activities, campaigns, and programs; implement mitigation plans if needed, leveraging DBS tools for continuous improvement

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field with 9+ years of related work experience OR Master’s degree in the field with 7+ years of related work experience OR Doctoral Degree +3 years of related work experience

  • Sales/Marketing experience in Medical Device Industry is required

  • Solid understanding of the Canadian Healthcare System and regulatory environment

  • Proficiency in Marketing & Strategic business planning, as well as experience in product launches and product lifecycle management

  • Requires 30% travel

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • In-depth knowledge and experience In Vitro diagnostics/molecular testing is preferred, and/or experience in Molecular Biology, and the relevant post-graduate qualification would be an advantage

  • Digital Marketing experience
