Role Summary The Data Analytics Engineer will be a key contributor in solving R&D process analytics problems and providing data analysis to make fact-based decisions. Supporting R&D data science and analytics programs interfacing with manufacturing and QC operations, this person will support projects focused on, process development, product design specifications, raw material specifications, and process engineering analytics. You will turn data into insight and business decisions in close collaboration with Quality, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, and Product Management. Use of experience and analytical approach is crucial for identifying process controls to ensure a stable manufacturing yield of our Manufacturing facilities.
What you’ll do
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets from production processes.
Combine engineering and statistical principles to identify insights and draw conclusions.
Utilize Six Sigma, SPC, and process engineering principles to generate process baselines and understand CTQ flow down.
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources to build data frames for analysis.
Work closely with Test Engineers & Applications Engineers to get test set-ups implemented to supply needed data
Develops and implements data collection systems by interfacing with Quality and Manufacturing organizations.
Presents data findings to program leadership and author reports.
Who you are
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or related field.
Experience with sampling techniques, data analysis (Multivariate Analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DoE)), and statistical data analysis software (Minitab, SAS JMP, Python, R, Jupyter)
1-2 years of work experience in a Process Development or R&D environment.
ELN experience (LabVantage) desired
Hands-on experience performing process development analytics.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
