What you’ll do
The Engineering Technologist will be responsible for hands-on fabrication and modifications of conceptual products, general test systems, and creating functioning prototype equipment and tooling, spending most of their time working hands-on in the labs with Engineering staff. These activities will support our upstream portfolio of Single Use Mixers & Bioreactors, Ready-To-Process products, consumables, and Hollow-Fiber filtration products.
Contribute to the fabrication of product concept prototypes, and alpha and beta releases of systems at the direction of and with the guidance of Engineers
Assist Engineers in many phases of product development, including concept prototyping and prototype testing
Troubleshooting prototype systems and work with Engineers to modify parts if needed to enable them to function together for their intended use
Work with Engineers to maintain compliance with design controls, program documentation including internal phase review discipline, site quality and regulatory system
Model and design parts and assemblies in CAD, create and modify drawings
Assist with and /or generate engineering reports and other documents associated with the development process
Who you are
5+ years’ experience in a hands-on technical role or Associate of greater degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 1-2 years of relevant experience
Knowledgeable or experienced with fabrication of parts, equipment and test fixtures and willingness to learn new skills on the job
Experience with machining and/or working with basic shop tools like band saw, drill press, etc. is beneficial, but not required
Prior experience in an ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 company is beneficial, but not required
Experienced using CAD and/or reading dimensional drawings/blueprints
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels within a global, multidisciplinary team
